The cause in Marked is Zoey (main character) got marked and had to move away from home. All her friends and family don’t want to be by her now, because everyone thinks that when you get marked, it’s the worst thing ever. What caused it, was a tracker came and marked her.

EFFECTS:

She had a fight with her mom and step-dad

She had to sneak out of her house to try to get to the house of night before it was to late.

She got stitches in her head for falling.

She ends up going to The House of Night school were they teach vampires how to survive the vampire world. At first she's fine, but then she finds ways to prove who is her real friends.
